APPLICATION INSTRUCTION
NEOCOLD
COMBINED MEDICAL PREPARATION

DRUG FORM: Capsules.
COMPOSITION: Paracetamol – 0,25g, ascorbic acid – 0,025g, caffeine – 0,0125g, mucaltin – 0,025g, aloe dry extract – 0,015g.
PHARMACOLOGICAL OPERATION: Neocold presents a combined preparation, which has temperature lowering, sweating, expectorant, anti-inflammative, weak painkilling action. Releases feeling of tiredness and weakness.
Paracetamol is characterized with painkilling, temperature lowering, weak anti-inflammative operation. Acting mechanism is related to the suppression of prostaglandin synthesis in thermo regulation center of the hypothalamus.
Ascorbic acid: Increases organisms’ stability towards the infection, fills organisms’ requirement on C vitamin during acute viral respiratory infection.
Mucaltin: Calms coughing, covers damaged mucous membrane with thin layer, softens and dissolutes dense inflammatory scurf (throat, larynx, sound yoga), hastens regeneration of damaged mucous membrane, protects inhalant nerve endings from irritation.
Aloe dry extract: It is characterized with bactericidal, antiviral, anti-inflamative, antioxidative operation, includes biogenic stimulators.
Caffeine: Reduces filling of tiredness. At time of headache strengthens operation of paracetamol. During infectious diseases mobilizes organisms’ vital forces.
INDICATION: IT IS USED IN COMPLEX THERAPY, AS AN AID MEAN:

Symptomatic treatment at the time of influenza and cold, which is characterized with temperature increasing, sneezing, acute rhinitis, headache, sore throat and muscle ache.
SIDE EFFECTS:
· There are no side effects in recommended doses. Sometimes allergic reactions may be occured: rash on the skin, itch, quincke’s swelling;
· Rarely – disorder from the side of hemopoietic system.
CONTRA-INDICATION: Additional sensitivity towards the components of the preparation.
SAFETY MEASURES:
· It isn’t recommended to use the preparation with other paracetamol composing preparations at the same time.
· Preparation isn’t recommended at the time of pregnancy and lactation period;
· At time of treatment with Neocold it isn’t permitted to use sleeping means, tranquilizer and alcohol.
APPLICATION AND DOSAGE RULE: Preparation is taken perorally.
For adults and children more than 12 years: 2 capsules 3 times a day. Maximum 4 times a daily for 3 days. The interval must be not less than 4 hours.
For children over 2 years old the dosage is ascertained according to the body weight individually.
For children 6 – 12 years old: 1-2 capsule 3 times a day;
For children 2 – 6 years old: ½ or 1 capsule 3 times a day;
Duration of treatment course 5 – 7 days.
The preparation is especially effective at the time of revealing first signs of influenza and cold.
PREGNANCY AND LACTATION PERIOD: Usage the preparation is contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation period. In case of necessity to use the preparation during lactation period breastfeeding should be stopped.
OVERDOSAGE: In case of overdosage within 24 hours may develop skin pallor, anorexia, nausea, vomiting.
In case of overdosage should stomach lavage, application of adsorbents, acetylcysteine and methionine is recommended.
Long term usage of the preparation in high doses may cause disorder of liver and kidneys’ function, that’s why blood test is necessary.
INTERACTION WITH OTHER DRUGS: Enhances the effect of indirect anticoagulants (coumarin derivatives) and liver damage by hepatotoxic drugs. Metoclopramide increases and Сholestyramine reduces the absorption intensity of the drug. Barbiturates reduce Neocold’s antipyretic effect. Ethyl alcohol accelerates the absorption of paracetamol.
PACKAGE: 10 capsules on pvc/alu blister. 2 blisters in the cartoon box.
ORDER OF ISSUE: Pharmaceutical product group III – issued without a doctor’s prescription.
SHELF-LIFE: 2 years.
In case of visual defects or expiry of validity date, the preparation can not be used.
STORAGE CONDITION: Store in a dry and cool place.
